Meet Our Team

Mende Feriend


Mende has over 25 years of experience in architecture, space planning, construction, and human resources. She is a graduate of Texas A&M University, holding a Bachelor of Environmental Design (Architecture). Having built and sold two other profitable woman-owned companies, Mende now uses her entrepreneurial and human resource expertise combined with her background in construction to oversee the daily operations of GSW Constructors.

David Daffan

Vice President

David has helped to successfully grow GSW Constructors into an elite status by heading hundreds of private- and government-related projects across the United States and Puerto Rico. David’s background as a Master Electrician combined with his knowledge of the industry give him a unique edge as he manages our team.

Lyn Daffan

Project Coordinator

With over 35 years of experience in the construction industry, Lyn Daffan embodies unwavering dedication and expertise in the administrative facets of construction as she adeptly manages job setups, bonds, contracts, invoicing, and more. Lyn thrives in her role as a support pillar, ensuring smooth operations and contributing to the seamless execution of projects—a testament to her enduring commitment to excellence.

Christina Allen

Project Administrative Assistant

Embracing a dynamic role within GSW Constructors, Christina Allen brings fresh enthusiasm to the construction domain. As a project administrative assistant, Christina diligently supports project managers and superintendents, seamlessly handling a wide variety of tasks. Her eagerness to learn and adapt underscores her dedication to mastering the intricacies of operations, making her an invaluable asset to the team.

Tom Allen

Project Manager

Tom has been engaged in construction for over 20 years and his broad experience is key to all the work we do. His efficient organizational abilities bring a stabilizing influence on the projects he manages across the country.

Kevin Olivarez

Project Manager

Armed with 21 years of construction experience, Kevin Olivarez's journey began at the age of 16, evolving through service in the US Navy with distinction in Naval Mobile Construction Battalions 5 and 22. Since transitioning from the field to the office in 2016, Kevin has excelled in project management, safety, and estimation. As an OSHA Authorized trainer for Construction 10 & 30, Kevin brings invaluable expertise to the table. Currently serving as an assistant PM in the FAA division, Kevin collaborates closely with industry veterans, sharing operational management duties with Tom Allen and contributing significantly to FAA bidding alongside David Daffan.

David Farmer

Project Manager

With nearly a decade of experience in commercial and industrial construction, David Farmer is a seasoned professional bridging both field and office roles as a superintendent, estimator, and project manager. His expertise spans a diverse range, encompassing projects such as restaurants, multifamily units, and oilfield facilities in West Texas at any stage of development from new construction to overseeing remodels.
